A few simple steps before and after your session can make a big difference.
Before
- For abdominal sessions, finish eating 2–3 hours before — but do not come completely hungry.
- Avoid fizzy and highly caffeinated drinks right before.
- Wear comfortable clothes and arrive 5–10 minutes early.
- Tell us about pregnancy, chronic illnesses, medication (especially blood thinners), recent surgery and allergies.
During
Tell us if the pressure is too strong or too light, if you feel cold or want a break, and try to breathe slowly instead of holding your breath.
After
- Drink a glass or two of warm water.
- Have a light, warm meal; avoid heavy and spicy food.
- Take it easy for the rest of the day and avoid heavy lifting.
- Leave very hot baths and saunas until the next day.
Mild tiredness or tenderness is common and usually passes within a day. Severe pain, fever, vomiting, chest pain or shortness of breath are not normal — see a doctor and let us know.
